After much effort, dedication and involvement, Villarreal CF is a world reference in formative football due to the sports project of the quarry, with an avant-garde club structure, applying a work methodology directed by great professionals of this sport, with the aim of end of turning them into future soccer professionals.
Tour Estadio de la Cerámica
The Estadio de la Cerámica is the soccer field where Villarreal plays home matches. It has a capacity of 23,500 spectators and the dimensions of the pitch are 105 x 68 meters. The yellow manor is located next to the Plaza del Labrador in Vila-real and, curiously, since its inauguration in 1923 it has occupied the same location. Parallel to the Mediterranean, which is five kilometers away, the Estadio de la Cerámica is 50 meters above the sea level.
The field was inaugurated on June 17, 1923 with the name of 'Campo del Villarreal', although only two years later it began to be called 'El Madrigal', a name that lasted until January 8, 2017. On that date, Villarreal CF unveiled the new name of its stadium, which has since been renamed Estadio de la Cerámica, as a representative and identifying symbol of the province of Castellón, thus becoming proudly an ambassador of one of the best products of our land and a great showcase of this extraordinary material.
