The announcement brings together a new arrival and two returning clubs, reflecting an event that continues to grow while maintaining connections with previous participants.
For clubs travelling from abroad, the tournament offers an opportunity to meet teams beyond their regular league fixtures and share the experience with academies from professional clubs.
Atlético de Madrid to make their Salou tournament debut
Atlético de Madrid will take part in Endeka Sports Cup Salou for the first time in 2027.
Their arrival adds a new professional club academy to the event and gives participating players, coaches and families another reason to look forward to the February weekend.
For grassroots clubs, being part of the same tournament provides a setting in which to discover different approaches to youth football and enjoy an experience beyond their usual competition.
Valencia CF return as Gimnàstic continue their unbroken run
Valencia CF will return to Endeka Sports Cup Salou, continuing their academy’s involvement in the tournament.
Gimnàstic de Tarragona will also be back for their third consecutive appearance. The Tarragona club have participated in every edition and will once again be part of an event held in their home province.
Alongside Atlético de Madrid’s debut, these returning clubs bring continuity to the growing tournament.
A chance to meet teams beyond your regular fixtures
An international tournament gives young players the chance to travel together, meet new opponents and experience football outside their familiar surroundings.
Endeka Sports Cup Salou brings grassroots clubs and professional club academies into the same event. For smaller clubs, it is an opportunity to share the tournament experience with those academies and take on opponents they would not normally encounter.
Individual fixtures will depend on the participating age groups and the competition schedule.
The tournament includes boys’ and girls’ competitions. Clubs interested in travelling can contact the organisers to discuss the appropriate competition for their team and the conditions of entry.
